Gluten’s Mysterious Hiding Places
It’s not unusual for patients to continue to have what I consider to be gluten sensitivity issues even after they’ve gone gluten free. This happens for a number of reasons. Most commonly, while folks feel like they’re being diligent on the diet, they may be unaware of hidden sources of gluten. I often raise eyebrows when I explain that gluten hides in such places as ketchup, shampoos, and even good old Play-doh. Who knew?
