Thank you for your research and for writing Grain Brain. I have been gluten-free for four weeks now and have lost 8 pounds. These were 8 stubborn pounds that I just could not dislodge for several years now – even with healthy eating and daily exercise. Your book (and now my scales) has taught me that gluten was the culprit! Overall, I feel much better and my mind seems clearer. Short-term memory has been a challenge in my 50’s, and I now know that having “Grain Brain” was the cause! I am hoping to see an improvement in this area given more time on my new gluten-free food plan.
